The good news
Hey everyone!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all about the 2025 Philadelphia Marathon! As a Kenyan master’s runner who’s over 40, a coach, and a sports journalist, I’ve been lucky enough to inspire many people to embrace active lifestyles. It’s been an incredible journey, and now I have a fantastic opportunity ahead of me!
I’m one of the eleven race ambassadors for the Philadelphia Marathon, happening on November 23, 2025! This role allows me to promote fitness, connect with other amazing runners, and share my experiences with all of you. If you want to know more about the race ambassadors, you can check it out here.

There are so many great perks that come with this position, like getting running shoes and gear, having a special VIP packet pick-up area at the expo, enjoying a private heated hospitality tent near the start/finish line on race day, and so much more! It’s going to be an awesome experience!
The five reasons why I’m gearing up for the 2025 Philadelphia Marathon next month
- Supporting a Great Cause: I’m thrilled to be running in an event sponsored by the American Association for Cancer Research. It feels amazing to be part of something that makes a difference!
- Inspiring a Healthy Lifestyle: I really want to encourage my followers and fans to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. Running is such a fun way to stay fit, and I hope to lead by example.
- Gaining Knowledge and Experience: As a coach, I love sharing advice with other runners. This marathon is a fantastic opportunity for me to gather more experiences and insights that I can pass on!
- Exploring Philadelphia: I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the Philadelphia Marathon’s “beautiful, fast, and scenic course” and the lively atmosphere. I can’t wait to experience it all firsthand!
- Staying Fit: Running is such a huge part of my life, and I can’t imagine it any other way. I’ve heard that runners can feel biologically younger than their non-running friends, and I truly believe that!
Can’t wait to hit the pavement and share the journey with all of you!
