A capture of my training from Garmin Connect

A good running shoe, apparel and wrist watch is what every serious runner should have in their training. I have been using the Garmin forerunner 235 for my training since February 2018, which is over a year now. And, since I am not sponsored by any watch brand I will give an honest review as to what I like about this watch and what ought to be added.

Below is what I like:
1.       Ability to add third-party watch faces and apps
The Garmin Store, which can be accessed in the Garmin Connect App, has different watch faces and applications that runners can download and customize the look on their watches. Garmin forerunner 235 is compatible to many applications in the Garmin stores.
2.       thinner and lighter
Compared to most other gps watches I ever tried the Garmin forerunner 235 felt so light on my wrist. This came as a surprise given that the watch comes with so many features that are not found in many others.
3.       Gauges fitness level
After using my Garmin Forerunner 235 for slightly over two months, it predicted that I was in form to run a marathon in late 2:28. I did go ahead and ran 2:30 at the Eldoret City Marathon! I only wished I had listened to the watch at paced myself evenly, I did do the first half of the race in a 2:25 pace and only suffered in the last half. Perhaps the watch was right and I should have just gone for 2:28!
4.       Bluetooth data transfer
No need for wire cables. As soon as I get back from my runs, I put on the Bluetooth feature on my phone and my workouts are uploaded automatically to the Garmin Connect App.
5.       Quick reception of satellite signal
The Garmin forerunner 235 takes a very short time to connect to the satellite. Once I choose the running mode on my watch, I even hardly notice any delays before it peeps that it is ready.
6.       The cool look
I can’t think of any gps running watch that looks as cool as the Garmin forerunner 235. It fits all occasions, be it training, casual or official functions.
7.       Auto lap and manual lap feature
During my normal and long runs, I set my Garmin forerunner 235 to the auto lap feature so that it would let me know at what pace I used for every 1km. This feature is common in almost all the other gps watches. What is special about the forerunner 235 is the lap button that is able to register many laps and makes it good for registering intervals and recovery times.
To be honest, if I am asked what needs to be added to this watch, I will take a very long time thinking hard!
